The Star Trek Reboot Brings Back Memories
Was really taken with J.J. Abrams' new Star Trek movie. Sure, the whole time travel plot device has been done to death (in Star Trek: The Voyage Home and Star Trek: First Contact, and dozens of other sci-fi movies) and Winona Ryder's part was way too small. But Zachary Quinto was terrific as Spock; the other supporting characters were well cast; the special effects were stunning; and the action tense and exciting. All in all, a fine reboot that pays homage to both the original TV series and the previous films. Here's hoping they keep this cast together to carry on the Star Trek legacy.
